ALL FUTURE ENTREPRENEURS SHOULD JOIN THEIR SCHOOLS FBLA OR DECA PROGRAMS.
IF YOU CAN JOIN BOTH. FBLA IS FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA AND DECA IS THE MARKETING PROGRAM. I MYSELF WAS APART OF DECA WHICH GAVE ME A LOT OF INFO ON MARKETING AND BUSINESS.

NFTE National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship is also offered in low income schools: http://www.nfte.com
ReplyDeleteAll these programs certainly help and are great especially in understanding business terms and how it works along with the networking/mentoring aspect but understand that they do not determine whether or not you will be successful in business or if you have a viable business idea.
Not everyone will be at a school that offers these programs. So if not, also search for a local Small Business Development Center (through the SBA) which offers free business counseling services. Or you can simply ask a business person whom you respect and look up to if they would mind helping you get your business going. Most times they are happy to help a young person who has a business mind.
